Photos Posted Online Of Jewelry, Other Items Found In Mountain View Burglary Suspect's Home
MOUNTAIN VIEW (CBS SF) -- Mountain View police have posted online photos of a large amount of jewelry and other items found in a burglary suspect's home in hopes of finding the rightful owners, a police sergeant said Wednesday.
The items include rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and cameras recovered from the home of 44-year-old Miguel Paz inside his Mountain View home during an investigation of a recent burglary at a motorcycle store, police Sgt. Saul Jaeger said.
Paz was arrested on suspicion of burglary along with two other suspects in the break-in of the CalMoto motorcycle dealership at 2490 Middlefield Road in Mountain View, Jaeger said.
Police responded at 1:40 a.m. on May 26 to an in-progress burglary of the dealership and arrested Medardo Rivas Aguirre, 35, of both Mountain View and Sunnyvale, inside the store and William Rivas Aguirre, 20, of Santa Clara, in a nearby neighborhood.
From a lead in the investigation, police obtained a warrant to search Paz's home in Mountain View and arrested him after recovering a trove of allegedly stolen items inside, Jaeger said.
Police have posted pictures of the jewelry and other property on the department's site on the website Pinterest at http://www.pinterest.com/jleemvpd/mvpd-case-14-02690/.
Anyone who may recognize any of the property may call Detective Andrew Wong at (650) 903-6344.
Some things stolen from CalMoto, including watches, gloves, leather jackets, helmets and other gear, are still missing and those with information about them may contact Detective Wong at (650) 903-6344 or the department's Anonymous Tip Line at 650-961-5800.
