Passenger With Flu-Like Symptoms Causes Ebola Scare At SoCal Airport
LOS ANGELES (CBS SF) -- A passenger with flu-like symptoms caused an Ebola scare at a Southern California airport Sunday.
A United Airlines flight originating from New York's JFK airport landed in Los Angeles at 1:50 p.m. Sunday with 142 passengers.
One of the passengers was reported ill, prompting a response from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Airport police said the patient was vomiting, and exhibited flu-like symptoms which prompted fears of an exposure to Ebola.
It was later determined the patient was not infected with the Ebola virus.
