Pacquiao, Algieri To Visit AT&T Park On Boxing Media Tour
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion boxer Manny Pacquiao and undefeated WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri has announced their WBO Welterweight Title Fight taking place in mid-November.
The pair also announced they will go on a international media tour to promote the bout set to take place at The Venetian Macao. The media tour will start in Macao and make stops in Shanghai, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York and in San Francisco.
The San Francisco stop will take place at AT&T Park before the Giants' game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday, August 29. Fans are invited to purchase tickets to attend the special media event that includes a Q&A session with the fighters at the visitor's dugout. Fans also receive a special commemorative fight poster. Another VIP Experience event will take place with the fighters later on in the afternoon. Both Pacquiao and Algieri is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Giants/Brewers game. Tickets are available through SFGiants.com.
The tour will conclude on September 4, with a ringing of the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
Pacquiao vs. Algieri World Welterweight Championship is produced and distributed live through HBO Pay-Per-View starting at 6:00pm PST on Saturday, November 22.
