Police Seeking Public's Help To Find Suspect In East Oakland Fatal Shooting

OAKLAND (CBS SF)— Oakland police are asking for the public's help in tracking down the man they believe is responsible for the shooting death of a 48-year-old man in East Oakland last August.

Corey Prentice was shot in the 4800 block of Daisy Street near Mills College on August 31st.

Shortly after Prentice was killed, police named 50-year-old Gary Shea as the suspect. His photograph was released and he remains the prime suspect.

He is described as a white man, 5' 6" tall and weighing 160 pounds. They did not release any other details about him or a possible motive for the shooting.
