Napa Drug Search Friday Evening Ends In Police Shooting
NAPA (CBS SF) -- Napa police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred Friday evening in the Alta Heights area while officers were serving a search warrant.
The shooting occurred shortly before 5 p.m. when officers serving a warrant for drugs and firearms contacted the subject of the warrant, a 41-year-old man whose name has not yet been released, according to police.
A handgun was found at the scene of the shooting.
The Napa County Sheriff's Department will lead the investigation into the shooting, as per county protocol, police said.
