There were at least six spot fires between the Nut Tree Plaza and Vaca Valley Parkway, the first ignited around 6 p.m., according to Vacaville fire officials. During the height of the blazes, some structures were threatened.

Fire chief Kris Concepcion said the fires burned on both sides of the freeway and I-505 was closed in the area. No injuries were reported.

Concepcion said on Saturday evening that firefighters were mopping up the blazes and extinguishing hot spots.
