5 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Westbound I-80 in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) -- Five people were hurt in a six-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 80 in Fairfield Saturday afternoon, according to the Fairfield fire department. The crash occurred on the freeway west of Airbase Parkway around 11:30 a.m. and a witness said cars were racing just before the crash.

According to a social media post by the fire department, emergency crews found one crash victim suffering major injuries, another with moderate injuries and three peaple minor injuries. All five were taken to a local trauma center.
