5 Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Pescadero
PESCADERO (CBS SF) -- San Mateo County firefighters were called to the scene of a vehicle accident near Pescadero Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters and the California Highway Patrol responded to the accident on northbound state Highway 1 and Pescadero Creek Road in unincorporated Monterey County at 2:04 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol officials.
At least three vehicles were involved, CHP officials said.
Some of the victims had to be extricated from their vehicle, according to Cal Fire officials.
At least five people were injured during the accident. One person was flown to a hospital and four others were taken to the hospital by ground ambulance, Cal Fire officials said.
No other information was immediately available.
