Minnesota Vikings Star Adrian Peterson Indicted For Alleged Child Abuse
HOUSTON (CBS SF) -- Minnesota Vikings star player Adrian Peterson has been indicted by a grand jury charging him with reckless or negligent injury to a child, according to published reports.
CBS Houston reported law enforcement sources said Peterson admitted that he did "whoop" his four-year-old child in May while the boy was visiting him in Montgomery County, Texas.
The police report said after the boy mother took him to a doctor, he told the doctor Peterson had hit him with a branch from a tree. Photos which accompanied the police report showed the child with bruises and open wounds.
