Bomb Threat At Milpitas High School Prompts Evacuation

MILPITAS (CBS SF) -- Milpitas High School students and staff have been evacuated due to a bomb threat Thursday morning.

Police and fire department responded to the threat at 1285 Esquela Parkway at about 9 a.m., according to high school principal Cheryl Lawton.

Chopper 5 video shows students outside of the building as police search the campus.

A message on the Milpitas Unified School District website that students would be sent home at 10 a.m.

Nearby Thomas Russell Middle School and Marshall Pomeroy Elementary School are keeping students inside while the high school is evacuated.
