Man Tells Teen Girl 'Don't Tell Your Mom' During Alleged Groping On SFO-Bound Flight
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man on a flight from North Carolina to San Francisco allegedly groped an underage girl sitting next to him.
Bed Prakash was a passenger on a US Airways flight from Charlotte to San Francisco August 7th when he allegedly placed his hand on the outer thigh of a 14-year old girl seated next to him, according to The Smoking Gun.
The incident happened about halfway through the flight.
A criminal complaint filed by the FBI states that Prakash touched the girl's breast, then kissed the girl's hand and whispered phrases to her including the word "sucking" and added "Don't tell your mom," after the teen resisted his advances.
Officials said the flight crew moved the girl to a different seat after the alleged incident.
Prakash appeared U.S. District Court in San Francisco last Friday on a federal assault charge. After the hearing, he was released on $5,000 bond, and ordered to surrender his passport.
He faces a maximum of one year in prison, five years of probation, and a fine.
