Man Shot In Buttocks Near I-980 In Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A man was injured in a shooting that happened in Oakland near Interstate Highway 980 Saturday morning, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 14th and Castro streets east of Highway 980 around 1:30 a.m., according to police.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks and was transported to a hospital, police said.

The California Highway Patrol also responded to scene.

No arrests have been made and no further details were immediately available.
