Man Jumps Counter, Robs San Francisco Chinatown Bank

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Police are trying to identify a man who robbed a bank in San Francisco's Chinatown neighborhood on Tuesday morning.

The robbery was reported at 9:31 a.m. at the East West Bank at 1066 Grant Ave.

Police said a man believed to be in his 20s or 30s entered the bank, jumped over the counter, opened the teller drawers, then took out cash and ran away with the money.

As of Wednesday morning, the suspect had not been caught, according to police.

An employee at the East West Bank confirmed that the robbery occurred there, but a branch supervisor declined to comment further on the incident.
