Man Armed With Bomb-Like Device Robs Burlingame Bank

BURLINGAME (CBS SF) -- A man robbed a Burlingame bank Saturday afternoon, armed with what may have been a bomb-like device, police said.

The incident was reported at 12:40 p.m. at the Bank of America, 400 El Camino Real in Burlingame.

Burlingame police Corp. David Perna said the suspect passed a note to a teller and escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen on El Camino Real.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, 5-feet, 6-inches tall, bald, and wearing a green hat and blue scarf. The incident is under investigation, police said.
