Santa Rosa Woman Airlifted From Scene Of Multi-Vehicle Crash On Hwy 37 In Vallejo
VALLEJO (CBS SF) -- A Santa Rosa woman and two children were injured in a crash on state Highway 37 in Vallejo Wednesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported around 6:45 p.m. on westbound Highway 37 at the Sonoma Boulevard off-ramp.
A Toyota Scion struck a concrete wall before coming to rest in the roadway. The 31-year-old driver was extricated and flown to a hospital with major injuries.
Two minors in the vehicle were also transported to a hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
Initial reports indicated roughly five or six vehicles were involved in the collision, but the CHP has since indicated that the incident may have been a single-vehicle crash.
A Sig-alert was issued at 7:49 p.m. for all westbound lanes of the roadway. It was cancelled at 9:03 p.m. and all lanes are currently open, according to the CHP.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected as factors in the crash.
