Update: BART police seek help identifying person who entered Transbay Tube
SAN FRANCISCO — BART police are asking for the public's help identifying the person who entered the Transbay Tube in San Francisco late Wednesday afternoon, causing major delays in both directions.
Service was halted at around 4:45 p.m. when the person got on the track near the Embarcadero station and entered the tunnel, according to authorities.

The intruder caused service to be stopped in the SFO, Millbrae, Daly City and East Bay directions while BART police looked for the individual. As a result, trained headed to the East Bay were being turned around at Embarcadero.
Service was restored at around 6:20 p.m. Less than an hour later, an image of the trespasser was shared by BART on social media, saying that BART police were seeking to identify male suspect who was caught on surveillance video wearing a tan or yellow hooded jacket.
