Latest In Series Of Small Earthquakes Hits Area South Of Gilroy
SAN BENITO COUNTY (CBS SF) - The latest in a series of small earthquakes has rattled the same area of Northern California Thursday.
A 3.8 magnitude quake shook an area of San Benito County about 24 miles northeast of Soledad and 50 miles east-southeast of Gilroy, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
On early Wednesday morning, a 2.9 earthquake struck in the same region.
August 11, a swarm of small earthquakes ranging in magnitude from 1.4 to 2.9 also struck the area.
