Lake County Man Caught On Camera Punching Himself In Face Before Accusing Officers Of Assault
LANE COUNTY, Oregon (CBS SF) -- A Lake County man who accused Oregon police of brutality was caught on camera punching himself in the face, causing the black eyes he claimed officers caused.
Surveillance footage posted to YouTube shows 33-year old Aleksander Robin Tomaszewski hitting himself in the face dozens of times over a period of a few minutes while being held in a cell in the Lane County Courthouse last month, the Register Guard reported.
Tomaszewski was being held on stalking and first-degree sexual abuse charges.
Tomaszewski later claimed that deputies had assaulted him during an interview, causing the injuries.
When the footage was reviewed during the investigation, and Tomaszewski was confronted with the evidence, he confessed to fabricating the story.
