It All Began Atop The Mark Hopkins Hotel

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- KPIX began broadcasting from studios housed in the attic of the Mark Hopkins Hotel in 1948. Years later the station would move to 2655 Van Ness Avenue and then to its current location at 855 Battery St.
