Humboldt County Men Arrested In Wyoming After 50 Pounds Of Marijuana Found In Car

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (CBS / AP) -- Authorities say two men who were pulled over for speeding west of Cheyenne are facing drug charges after a state trooper found more than 50 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says the driver was pulled over for going 85 mph in a 75 mph zone on Interstate 80 on Thursday morning. The state trooper says the odor of raw marijuana wafted from the vehicle, and a search turned up about 57 pounds of the drug.

Investigators say 21-year-old Talon Williams and 22-year-old Morek Robbins, both of the town of Hoopa in Humboldt County, were arrested on felony charges of possession of marijuana and possession with intent to deliver.

Attempts to reach the Laramie County jail to determine if the men have hired an attorney were unsuccessful Thursday night.
