Two Bicyclists Collide, Causing Complete Shutdown Of Highway 84 In Woodside, Portola Valley
WOODSIDE (KPIX) -- A major crash involving two bicyclists caused the CHP to shut down Highway 84 in both directions just before 11 a.m. Monday, before reopening it late that afternoon.
The affected area was from Skywood Drive to Portola Road.
The cyclists were both hospitalized. They are reported to be a man and woman, both in their 50s.
The narrow, twisting two-lane highway in the hills above Silicon Valley is popular with weekend adventure seekers, as this video from Youtube, recorded using Google Glass shows.
