'Hell Of A Night': 3 Cars Stuck Underwater In San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Crews are cleaning up from overnight rain that swallowed three cars underneath Interstate Highway 101 at the Cesar Chavez exit in San Francisco.
The cars were stuck underwater at about 4 a.m. At least one driver said he had to swim to safety. The other two drivers managed to escape safely. One driver said it was "a hell of a night," and he'll spend the rest of the day making calls to his insurance company.
City crews will be spending the rest of the morning cleaning out the drains to help the water recede.

The National Weather Service issued a Bay Area-wide urban and small creek flood advisory Wednesday morning that will last until 7 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol also responded to several reports of roadway flooding on U.S. Highway 101 in the areas of Petaluma, Novato, Redwood City, and Mill Valley, on Interstate Highway 280 near San Francisco, and on Interstate Highway 680 in Concord.
A mudslide has also blocked both lanes on southbound Old Santa Cruz Highway near Idylwild Road in the Los Gatos area as of 5:43 a.m., according to the CHP.
Flooding has been reported in San Francisco around the Noe Valley neighborhood, along with other nearby locations within the city.
