4 Die in Helicopter Crash in Colusa County North of Sacramento

COLUSA (CBS SF/AP) -- Four people died Sunday in a helicopter crash in a remote area of Colusa County north of Sacramento, authorities said.

The Colusa County Sheriff's Office said it received a report at 1:15 p.m. of a helicopter crash in the area near Highway 45 at Reservation Road.

Deputies and firefighters responded to the scene. Upon arrival, the first responders located four passengers amid the wreckage of the helicopter. They were confirmed deceased at the scene.

An official cause of death is undetermined at this time. The passengers' identification will not be released until proper notification has been made.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
