Man Found Dead Near U-Haul Truck, Broken Windows Outside Hayward School
HAYWARD (CBS SF) -- Police are investigating a dead body found near a U-Haul truck backed into a Hayward building Friday.
Workers from the Life Chiropractic College West on Industrial Boulevard reported coming to work shortly before 2 a.m. when they found the truck backed up to the building and some broken windows outside.
In a statement on its website, college officials said a suspect or suspects used a rental truck to ram the back of the school's on-campus cafe, Life Bistro, around 1 a.m.
Police found a deceased male there who may have been involved in ramming the cafe, college officials said.
College officials said all indicators show that the body is not that of a student, staff or faculty member.
The Life West campus is closed Friday due to the investigation.
