Update: Shooting injures 6 during July 4th gathering in Hayward
HAYWARD -- A shooting in Hayward Tuesday night during July 4th festivities left six people injured, including the shooter, according to the Hayward Police Department.
The incident happened on the 400 block of Ranker Place Tuesday evening. No one was killed.

Police said the incident happened during a large gathering on the street, one of several in the neighborhood that included fireworks being set off.
Police said one suspect was in custody.
