49ers CEO Jed York Disputes Report Claiming Harbaugh On Way Out Of San Francisco After This Season

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York Monday disputed a Fox Sports report that head coach Jim Harbaugh is coaching his final season in San Francisco.

On Sunday's Fox Sports NFL pregame show, analyst Jay Glazer said that even a Super Bowl title won't be enough to keep Harbaugh coaching in Santa Clara. "I don't see any way Jim Harbaugh comes back next year as the head coach of the 49ers," Glazer said. "Even if they hoist the Lombardi (Trophy)."

Glazer has been predicting doom for the marriage between the 3-time playoff coach and the 49er front office for nearly a year. Other analyts, including former 49ers players Deion Sanders and Trent Dilfer, have claimed there is discord and unrest in the 49ers locker room - reports Harbaugh called "a bunch of crap."

In an interview with reporter Rich Eisen on DirecTV Monday, York called Glazer's report "categorically not true."

"Every coach will move on at some point and I don't think Jim is at that point," said York. "We've had a great relationship here."

On Sunday, York did not hint at a regime change.

After backlash online, Glazer took to Twitter himself to lay out his case for the failing relationship:

Harbaugh, who who has been to the conference title game in each of this three seasons as a head coach, would no doubt find other employment quickly on the open market.

Harbaugh is due to answer questions from reporters at noon. You can watch his weekly 49er Press Pass segment - scheduled for noon - here.
