2 Guests At Rural Sonoma County Party Drive Vehicles Into Crowd, 1 Hospitalized

SANTA ROSA (CBS/AP) -- Sonoma County authorities say one person was taken to the hospital after a pair of angry guests drove vehicles into a group at a party.

Sheriff's officials say between 75 and 100 people were celebrating a birthday Saturday night at a rural property between Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park when two men apparently became upset with other partygoers.

Sgt. Jason Lucas told the Santa Rosa Press Democrat the men got into their vehicles -- a Toyota pickup and a small SUV -- and drove them into a group of people who were standing outside.

Lucas says one person was run over and taken to a hospital with a reported leg injury. Two more were sideswiped.

Lucas says none of the injuries was considered serious.

He says one of the suspects and the two vehicles had been located as of Saturday night.
