Girl Scouts Broke Rules By Selling Cookies Outside New Mexico Pot Dispensary, Officials Say
ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (KCBS) -- Two Albuquerque New Mexico girls sold more than sixty boxes of Girl Scout cookies after setting up shop outside a medical marijuana dispensary, but officials say they broke the rules.
They were there with the blessing of the store manager, who offered to donate a dollar for every box of cookies the girls sold.
New Mexico Girl Scout officials aren't too happy about it though - a spokeswoman says selling outside medical marijuana dispensaries is against scout rules.
They weren't the first scouts to come up with that idea. Scouts in San Francisco sold more than 100 boxes in just hours outside a dispensary in San Francisco in 2014.
