6 Teams More Likely To Go To World Series Than The Giants And A's
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Back in June the Giants and A's looked destined to meet in the World Series. Now they'll be lucky to get more than one game of postseason play apiece.
Two months into the season the best baseball on earth was being played in the Bay Area, and bookies viewed a Bay Bridge Series rematch as the best bet for this fall. Since then, each team has seen a talented, more expensive roster from the south push it out of the division lead.
Now the teams again share a similar fate: their tied as World Series longshots.

That's well behind the new leaders, the Dodgers at 5/1. The Angels (11/2), Nationals (6/1), Tigers (13/2), Orioles (7/1) and Cardinals (9/1) are all more likely to win the series, according to gaming website Bovada.
