Gas Station Clerk Run Over During American Canyon Robbery
AMERICAN CANYON (CBS SF) -- An Arco gas station clerk suffered major injuries during a robbery in American Canyon on Wednesday night, police Chief Tracey Stuart said.
Two men entered the gas station at 3462 Broadway around 9 p.m. and left with a case of Red Bull without paying for it, Stuart said.
The robbers ran to a vehicle just southeast of the gas station. The store clerk followed the suspects and was struck by the vehicle, a silver or gray four-door sedan as it left, Stuart said.
The clerk suffered a major injury to the left leg and was taken to a hospital.
The suspects are black males in their late teens or early 20s. Both weighed around 140 pounds and had twisted short dreadlocks.
The 5 feet 5 inch tall suspect was wearing a white or gray Gap sweatshirt and red and white shoes, police said.
The 5 feet, 7 inch suspect possibly had a mustache. He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, and purple or blue basketball shoes with a bright orange lower rim, police said.
Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call Napa County sheriff's investigators at (707) 253-4591 or text NVSC and a message to 274637 (CRIMES). The sheriff's office provides police services to American Canyon.
