Gas Prices Down Ahead Of Thanksgiving Travel Weekend
(CBS SF) -- Lower gas prices and a rebounding economy means more Americans are expected to hit the highways this Thanksgiving.
TripAdvisor's annual travel survey said 40 percent of people plan to travel more than 50 miles ahead of the holiday -- up 5 percent from last year.
Most will set off before the beginning of the holiday week and the majority will return the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
Gas prices were about 4 cents lower compared to last week in most Bay Area locations.
