Former Santa Rosa Club Athletic Director Pleads Not Guilty To Lewd Acts

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- The former athletic director of the Sonoma Valley Boys and Girls Club pleaded not guilty Monday to committing lewd acts with minors.

Paul Dwayne Kilgore, 68, of Sonoma, allegedly committed the acts with three minors between 2010 and this year, according to Deputy District Attorney Javier Vaca.

The felony complaint includes two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child and five counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, one of them with force.

Healdsburg police arrested Kilgore on Sept. 18 on suspicion of committing lewd acts and continuous sexual abuse of two boys ages 11 and 12 in the hot tub and shower area of the Parkpoint Health Club in Healdsburg in Aug. 27.

Police said Kilgore took pre-teens and teenage boys to outings at recreation areas in the area and some of the alleged offenses happened on overnight trips where Kilgore served as a mentor.

Kilgore resigned three years ago from the Sonoma Valley Boys and Girls Club, president Robert Hughes said.

Kilgore's preliminary hearing in Sonoma County Superior Court is scheduled for Dec. 22. He is being held in Sonoma County Jail under $1 million bail.
