Foodie Chap With Mixologist Matthew Stanton
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Matthew Stanton has over 12 years of experience crafting cocktails and creating a high-leveled bar experience for patrons across the West Coast.
In 2007, Matt and his brother patterned up to open El Dorado Cocktail Lounge in San Diego, California known as one of the most famous venues in the region.
In 2013, Matt decided to venture to San Francisco to broaden his industry knowledge and experience. Their opportunity knocked and Matt got to work next to San Francisco's best bar keeps in the finest establishments, including Sabroa and Taverna, Bourbon and Branch, Brass Tacks, Trick Dog, Tsk Tsk and Aventine.
He has a broad arsenal of tips and tricks for the modern day imbiber.
Matt and Aventine managing partner Rodrigo and I met for a Foodie Chap chat and cocktail recently. Matt concocted an Emerald Isle inspired libation for that one day of the year when everyone is just a wee bit Irish. The cocktail: GREEN HAM & EGGS. The recipe is below.
Enjoy our cocktail fueled conversation, taped recently at Aventine, San Francisco. See you for the March 17th block party next to the Aventine across from the Transamerica building.
