Flood Advisory Issued For Entire Bay Area
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - The National Weather Service San Francisco Bay Area has issued an urban small stream flood advisory for the entire Bay Area after one of the wettest nights in recent memory.
The advisory, which runs through 7:30 p.m., covers all nine Bay Area Counties as well as Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito Counties.
"Runoff from heavy rainfall is expected to cause ponding or flooding on some roadways... poor drainage areas and low lying spots. There are reports of roadway flooding and rock/mud slides this morning as well as numerous reports of accidents due to wet roadways," reads the National Weather Service alert.

The advisory designation indicates that while creeks may overflow their banks, extensive damage is unlikely.
