Fire crews contain 2-alarm blaze in San Francisco's Sunset District; 2 injured

SAN FRANCISCO -- Firefighters in San Francisco have contained a two-alarm structure fire in the city's Inner Sunset neighborhood near Golden Gate Park that started Thursday night.

The blaze occurred at 1242 19th Ave. just before 9 p.m., according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

One community member and a firefighter suffered minor injuries in the fire.  

Firefighters were able to contain the fire just after 11 p.m.

Motorists were still being asked to avoid the area of 19th Avenue and Lincoln Way just south of Golden Gate Park Friday morning as debris from the fire and department vehicles remained on the scene.
