Fire Burns At Antioch Homeless Encampment Near Highway 4
ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- A grass fire at a homeless encampment near state Highway 4 in Antioch was extinguished Tuesday, authorities said.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District (Con Fire) said the fire burned at a drainage ditch at the encampment along Sunset Dr. west of Hillcrest Ave. and just north of Highway 4.
Con Fire said fire conditions are dangerously high and the forecasted hot weather exacerbates the danger.
There were no reports of any injuries or structures burned.
