Filmmaker Kevin Smith Debuts New Look On Social Media
(CBS NEWS) – Last week media outlets dubbed Renee Zellweger "unrecognizable" after she stepped out with a new look.
Now another star has us doing a double-take. Filmmaker Kevin Smith debuted a new look in a photo posted on Facebook Tuesday. The beard we've seen him sporting for the past...oh 20 years...has vanished.

Apparently, his facial upkeep was a lot of work. He told CBS News he cleaned up his beard every day so he wouldn't look like a "mountain man." "Also, I use it to shave my face because I have such a fat face," he joked. "I shave [my beard] to make it look like I have a chin bone and cheek bone."
