Tree Blocks Highway 84 Near Woodside For 12 Hours
WOODSIDE (CBS SF) - Twelve hours after a tree fell and blocked traffic on state Highway 84 near Highway 35 in Woodside early Monday morning, the roadway has been cleared, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The downed tree was reported around 3:30 a.m. on Highway 84 just east of Highway 35, also known as Skyline Boulevard. Motorists were advised to use alternate routes.
Eventually, one lane was reopened Monday afternoon and cars were able to pass through, according to the CHP.
A Sig-alert that was issued for the area this morning was canceled at 3:44 p.m. when the roadway was completely cleared. The tree has been chopped up and removed, according to the CHP.
