Facebook Expands Empire, Buys 21 New Buildings In Menlo Park
MENLO PARK (CBS SF) -- Facebook is collecting a bunch of new buildings to transforming its Silicon Valley tech campus.
The social media giant recently acquired Prologis Inc.'s 21-building park in Menlo Park at a price tag of $400 million dollars.
The company only say it's an investment in its future, and in the future of Menlo Park.
But it's not clear yet how the new property fits into Facebook's larger real estate plans since it is currently building a new campus on Willow Road.
Last month, Facebook beat profit and revenue forecasts for the seventh quarter in a row, continuing to win more mobile advertising revenue as most users shift to using the site on smartphones and other portable devices.
