3.5 Earthquake Rattles California Coast Range

SALINAS (CBS SF) -- A minor earthquake shook an area in California's Coast Range Tuesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The 3.5 magnitude quake struck at 12:55 p.m. PST just in the Diablo Range just east of Pinnacles National Forest in San Benito County. It was centered about 17 miles east-northeast of Soledad, where some shaking was felt.

There were reports the quake was felt as far away as Monterey.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
