Man Found Dead In East San Jose; Person Of Interest Detained

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – Police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Wednesday morning in East San Jose.

According to police, officers responded to the 1700 block of Ocala Avenue at 3:17 a.m. on reports of a person that had died.

Officers arrived and found a man suffering from multiple injuries where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said a person of interest had been detained and the San Jose Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene to take over the investigation.

Investigators are looking into the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident and the identity of the victim is being withheld until next of kin has been notified.
