Kevin Durant Shares A Practice Nacho With Young Warriors Fan
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Khalil has been taught that it's good to share with others what you have.
So when new Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant took a break during the team's open practice Tuesday night, he looked a little hungry. Khalil offered him one of his nachos.
Khalil was just one of the thousands of fans who packed Oracle Arena for a chance to see Golden State run through a practice session.
Excitement has been sky-high since Durant announced last July that he was joining the two-time NBA finalists and 2015 NBA Champions.
Head coach Steve Kerr, who was sidelined for the first half of the 2015-2016 season with a back injury, told the crowd that the challenge was blending in a talented player like Durant with a team that already included all-stars Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
"The biggest challenge we have is putting it all together and seeing it work," he told the packed arena. "We have a lot of talent."
The rest of the night was a love affair between the players and the fans.
