Driver Dies After Caltrain Strikes Car Crossing Tracks In Burlingame
BURLINGAME (CBS SF) -- A Caltrain struck a car on the tracks in Burlingame on Tuesday, killing the driver inside.
The crash happened at around 4:35 p.m. at the Broadway grade crossing, according to Caltrain spokesperson Dan Lieberman. The #263 train was traveling northbound with an estimated 145 passengers on board. No one else was injured.
As of 5:30 p.m., emergency personnel were on the scene and trains were single-tracking through the area.
