Domestic Violence Leads To Gunfire In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) – A woman suspected of shooting at her romantic partner in Fairfield early Tuesday morning was hospitalized for injuries suffered in an earlier fight with him, according to police.

Marci Renee Stanridge, 45, was taken into custody outside the home she shares with her partner, 47-year-old Reginald Dewane McKinney, in the 2000 block of Kingfisher Way, according to police.

McKinney fled the area after the shooting and police do not know if he was injured. Investigators are looking for him to learn more about his role in the fight and for allegedly threatening Stanridge, police Lt. Kevin Carella said.

The two got into a violent fight at about 3 a.m. Tuesday. McKinney threatened Stanridge and left the home, returning at about 6:40 a.m., Carella said.

But once he got back, Stanridge met him outside with a gun and opened fire. McKinney might have been struck by gunfire, but he fled the area and police have been unable to find him.

Bullets were found lodged in homes across the street, police said.

Stanridge was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries she suffered in the fight. The Solano County District Attorney's Office will review the case to determine if she will face criminal charges, police said.

Anyone with information about the case or McKinney's location has been asked to call Fairfield police at (707) 428-7600 or the tip line at (707) 428-7345.
