Director Announces Official Cast For 'Ghostbusters' Reboot

The rumors surrounding the casting list for the official Ghostbusters reboot were beginning to get pile on, with names from Emma Stone to Melissa McCarthy being thrown into the ring by everyone from Bill Murray to director Paul Feig.

Today, finally, we have confirmation that at least four members of the official cast have signed on.

Melissa McCarthy, as many suspected, will star alongside her Bridesmaids co-star and "Saturday Night Live" alum Kristen Wiig. Current SNL-ers Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon have also been confirmed.

"Negotiations are ongoing but the quartet are expected to sign on as the specter-seeking, poltergeist-punishing and phantom-phollowing foursome in the reboot," as As The Hollywood Reporter wrote today.

The film will probably begin filming this summer in New York.

The movie will be directed by Bridesmaids director Paul Feig, who confirmed the casting with this tweet:
