Deer's Desperate Attempt To Escape Sunol Grade Brush Fire Caught On Chopper Video

SUNOL (CBS SF) -- A deer's desperate attempt to escape as it was surrounded by the flames of a brush fire in the Sunol area Monday.
As KPIX 5's helicopter footage focused on a home in the area, the deer can be seen popping out of the trees, and running along a fence line without a direct escape route. The deer runs until it finds an opening in the fence, and darts towards another large tree.
Flames and smoke from the fire line in the field at the bottom right cut the deer off.
When the deer pops out from underneath a tree, it can be seen making a straight shot through the burned grass toward the fire.
Undeterred by smoke and orange flames, the deer bursts through the fire line to freedom.
