Daily Madden: Why Aaron Rodgers Is Among The League's Best QBs
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Aaron Rodgers threw six first half touchdown passes as the Packers routed the Chicago Bears 55-14 in Green Bay Sunday night. John Madden places Rodgers among the top three quarterbacks in the league.
"Just watching him and the things that he can do, he's probably up there with Peyton Manning and Tom Brady," John Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew. "You know the amazing thing about him? The way that he can move and throw, and throw with accuracy and velocity. You know every other quarterback has to set their feet. That's always the big thing, you know, you're never ready to throw until your feet are ready to throw. And he doesn't have to do that... Some historian probably knows someone else that did that. I don't know anyone else who did that as well as Aaron Rodgers does that."
Rodgers' six first half TD's tied the NFL mark set in 1969 by Daryle Lamonica of the Raiders, coached by John Madden. (6:55)
