Daily Madden: The Warriors Limp Into The Playoffs

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - With their first 50-win season in 20 years, the Warriors have clinched a playoff spot. But they'll most likely be playing without standout center Andrew Bogut, who fractured a rib near his lung in Sunday's overtime loss to Portland.

"The rib thing can go on for long time," John Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew. "You can play with broken ribs if they're not in an area where you can puncture a lung. But if they're in an area where you can have other things go wrong, then that's going to take a little longer."

The Warriors enter the playoffs as the number six seed in the Western Conference, but they'll be challenged to advance without Bogut.

"You always want to get in the playoffs, you know, be peaking as you go into the playoffs, and maybe the one you don't talk about enough that is so obvious is that you want to be healthy going into the playoffs."

The Warriors will most likely face the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round. (6:50)
