Daily Madden: Packers And Cowboys Are Evenly Matched
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - John Madden says it's hard to predict a winner in the Packers-Cowboys playoff game at Lambeau Field Sunday.
"They're pretty well matched up," Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew.
Rodgers is 8-0 at Lambeau with 25 touchdowns and no interceptions. Dallas quarterback Tony Romo is 8-0 on the road with 24 TDs and two interceptions.
"I can see Green Bay winning it and I can also see Dallas winning it," Madden said. "I think Dallas probably has offensively a more complete offense than Green Bay. But then (quarterback) Aaron Rodgers makes up for that."
Though he hasn't practiced as he nurses a calf injury, Rodger says he'll play.
"He's not worried until he has to do something that's a reaction rather than a thought process," Madden said, noting the injury won't really be tested until the game starts.
"A calf is like a hamstring in that you look okay, you feel okay, you can jog around, you can move, you can control it when you can think about it. But when it gets you is when you have to burst to get away from someone... It feels pretty good when I can control it. But how's it going to feel when I can't control it. And that's what he has to worry about." (6:40)
