Daily Madden: McCoy And Company Expose Cowboys
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Quarterback Colt McCoy led Washington to a 20-17 overtime upset over the Cowboys in Arlington Monday night.
"Everyone got a little too excited about Dallas," John Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew. Dallas had only lost one game (to the 49ers) before they played Washington. "(Dallas) won a few, they looked better, they had a better offensive line, they were running the ball, they got a great running back. And there were people that put them as the best team in the NFL. Well, they're kind of climbing the ladder, but they're not at the top. And I think that's what the Redskins showed last night."
Madden said McCoy deserves a lot of credit.
"Colt McCoy played very well," Madden said. "Things didn't work out for him in Cleveland, things didn't work out in San Francisco, things didn't work out in a lot of places for him. But he hangs in there. He was a great college player, and he's really a smart guy. And he was able to use that last night." (7:25)
